THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the throttle body with motor assembly removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (w/ Heater)

    Click here

  2. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR

      w/ Secondary Air Injection System:


      1. Disconnect the connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

      2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the air pressure sensor and detach the clamp.

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 PCV hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

    3. Disconnect the vacuum hose.

    4. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 air hose from the intake air connector.

      Loosen the 2 hose clamps and remove the 2 bolts and intake air connector.

  3. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the throttle body with motor connector.

    2. w/ Heater:


      1. Slide the 2 hose clips and disconnect the No. 1 water by-pass hose and No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.

      Remove the 4 bolts and the throttle body with motor assembly.

    4. Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
