ACCELERATOR PEDAL ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Accel Sens. No.1 Volt % and Accel Sens. No.2 Volt %.

      
      Powertrain > Engine > Data List

      Tester Display
      Accel Sens. No.1 Volt %
      Accel Sens. No.2 Volt %

   5. Operate the accelerator pedal sensor assembly and check that the "Accel Sens. No.1 Volt %" and "Accel Sens. No.2 Volt %" values are within the specification.

      Standard Voltage (Accel Sens. No.1 Volt %)
      Accelerator Pedal Condition Specified Condition Released 10 to 22% Depressed 52 to 90%

      Standard Voltage (Accel Sens. No.2 Volt %)
      Accelerator Pedal Condition Specified Condition Released 24 to 40% Depressed 68 to 99%

      If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal sensor assembly, wire harness or ECM.
