ECD SYSTEM(w/ DPF) Cranking Holding Function Circuit

DESCRIPTION

While the engine is being cranked, current flows from terminal STAR of the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) to the park/neutral position switch assembly*1 or clutch start switch*2 and to terminal STA of the ECM (STA signal).

  1. CHECK WHETHER ENGINE CAN BE CRANKED


    1. Check if the engine can be cranked.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (STARTER SIGNAL)


    1. Connect the GTS to DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Primary / Starter Signal.

    5. Check the result when the ignition switch is ON and the engine starts.

    1. Remove the ST NO. 1 relay from the engine room relay block and junction block.

    2. Disconnect the starter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
