ECM INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL NO. 2 ECM BRACKET

   
   

   1. Install the No. 2 ECM bracket with the 2 screws.

      Torque:

      3.0 N*m  { 31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf }

2. INSTALL NO. 1 ECM BRACKET

   
   

   1. Install the No. 1 ECM bracket with the 2 screws.

      Torque:

      3.0 N*m  { 31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf }

3. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL ECU (for Automatic Transmission)

4. INSTALL 4WD CONTROL ECU

   Click here

5. INSTALL ECM

   
   

   1. Install the ECM, No. 1 and No. 2 ECM bracket with the bolt and 2 nuts.

      Torque:

      for bolt

      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

      for nut

      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

   2. Connect the 2 4WD control ECU connector and 4 ECM connectors.

   3. for Automatic Transmission:

      Connect the 2 transmission control ECU connector and 4 ECM connectors.

   4. Attach the clamp.

6. INSTALL TURBO MOTOR DRIVER

7. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

   Click here

8. PERFORM REGISTRATION

   Tech Tips

   Only perform registration when the ECM is replaced, either by itself or in any of the following combinations.

   
   

   • ECM and Fuel Supply Pump

   • ECM and Diesel Throttle Body Assembly

   • ECM and Injector Assembly

   • ECM and Engine Assembly
