ACCELERATOR PEDAL ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Accel Sensor Out No. 1 and Accel Sensor Out No. 2.

      
      Powertrain > Engine > Data List

      Tester Display
      Accel Sensor Out No.1
      Accel Sensor Out No.2

   5. Read the value displayed on the GTS.

      Standard Voltage
      Item Condition Specified Condition Accel Sensor Out No. 1 Released 0.5 to 1.1 V Depressed 2.6 to 4.5 V Accel Sensor Out No. 2 Released 1.2 to 2.0 V Depressed 3.4 to 4.75 V

      If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal sensor assembly, wire harness and ECM.
