THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the throttle body with motor assembly removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER

      *a Grommet
      *b Pin
      *c Hook
      *d Bracket

      Raise the V-bank cover to detach the 2 pins. Then remove the 2 V-bank cover hooks from the bracket, and remove the V-bank cover.

  3. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE

      Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the intake mass air flow meter connector.

      Disconnect the vacuum hose from the No. 1 air cleaner hose.

    3. Slide the clamp and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the No. 1 air cleaner hose.

      Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 1 air cleaner hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.

    5. Detach the 4 clamps and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with No. 1 air cleaner hose.

  4. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      Slide the 2 hose clamps and disconnect the No. 4 water by-pass hose and No. 5 water by-pass hose.

    2. B003KOA

      Disconnect the throttle body with motor connector.

    3. Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body with motor assembly.

    4. Remove the gasket from the intake air surge tank.
