INSTALL FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY

Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the fuel injector assembly.

1. *1 O-Ring
  
  *2 Fuel Vibration Insulator
  
  Install a new fuel vibration insulator to each fuel injector assembly.
2. Apply a light coat of spindle oil or gasoline to new O-rings and install one to each fuel injector assembly.
3. Install the 6 fuel injector assemblies.
  1. While turning each fuel injector assembly left and right, install it to the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.
  2. Position the fuel injector assembly connectors so they are facing outward.
INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Place the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly together with the 6 fuel injector assemblies on the intake manifold.
2. Temporarily install the 6 bolts, which are used to hold the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly to the intake manifold.
3. Check that the fuel injector assemblies rotate smoothly.
  
  If any fuel injector assembly does not rotate smoothly, replace the O-ring of that fuel injector assembly.
4. Position the fuel injector assemblies so that the connectors are facing outward.
5. Tighten the 6 bolts, which are used to hold the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly to the intake manifold.
  
  Torque:
  
  15 N*m { 153 kgf*cm, 11 ft.*lbf }
6. Connect the 6 fuel injector assembly connectors to the 6 fuel injector assemblies.
CONNECT NO. 2 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Connect the No. 2 fuel pipe sub-assembly and install the No. 2 fuel pipe clamp to the fuel pressure regulator assembly.

CONNECT NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Connect the No. 1 fuel pipe sub-assembly and install the No. 2 fuel pipe clamp to the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.

INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK

CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Note

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK
1. Make sure that there are no fuel leaks after performing maintenance on the fuel system.
  1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.
    
    Note
    
    Do not start the engine.
  3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Control the Fuel Pump / Speed / ON.
    
    Powertrain > Engine > Active Test
    
    Tester Display
    
    Control the Fuel Pump / Speed
  4. Check that there are no leaks from the fuel system.
    
    If there are fuel leaks, repair or replace parts as necessary.
  5. Turn the ignition switch off.
  6. Disconnect the GTS from the DLC3.
