PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL TIMING CHAIN CASE OIL SEAL


    1. A01SBP5N01

      Apply MP grease to the lip of a new timing chain case oil seal.

      Note


      • Do not allow foreign matter to contact the lip of the timing chain case oil seal.

      • Do not allow MP grease to contact the dust seal.

    2. Temporarily install the timing chain case oil seal to the timing chain cover sub-assembly.

    3. Using SST and a hammer, tap in the timing chain case oil seal until its surface is flush with the timing chain cover edge.

      Note


      • Keep the lip free from foreign matter.

      • Do not tap the timing chain case oil seal at an angle.
