REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the rear door belt moulding removal/installation are shown below.

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedures listed below are for LHD vehicles.

  • When removing the rear door glass sub-assembly LH, move the rear door glass sub-assembly LH to the lowest position before disconnecting the negative (-) battery terminal.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:


    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

      Put protective tape around the rear door belt moulding LH.

      B006N8A Remove in this Direction

      Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the claw from the interior as shown in the illustration.

      Detach the guide and remove the rear door belt moulding LH.
