PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:


    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

      Put protective tape around the front door outer glass weatherstrip LH.

      Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, detach the claw from the interior.

      Detach the claw as shown in the illustration.

      Remove the front door outer glass weatherstrip LH as shown in the illustration.
