The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the front door front window frame moulding LH, front door rear window frame moulding LH and front door upper window frame moulding LH removal/installation are shown below.

PRECAUTION
Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

When removing front door front window frame moulding LH, heat the front door panel and front door front window frame moulding LH using a heat light.

Using a scraper, start from the top and remove the double-sided tape from the back of the front door front window frame moulding LH.

Pull in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the clip and remove the front door front window frame moulding LH.

When removing front door rear window frame moulding LH, heat the front door panel and front door rear window frame moulding LH using a heat light.

Using a scraper, start from the top and remove the double-sided tape from the back of the front door rear window frame moulding LH.

Detach the clip and remove the front door rear window frame moulding LH as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH
w/ Upper Window Frame Moulding:
Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove enough of the upper portion of the front door weatherstrip LH so that the front door upper window frame moulding LH can be removed.
w/o Upper Window Frame Moulding:
Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove enough of the upper portion of the front door weatherstrip LH so that the front door upper window frame moulding LH can be removed.
REMOVE FRONT DOOR UPPER WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH (w/ Upper Window Frame Moulding)
Put a 4 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit into a drill.
Wind tape around the drill bit approximately 5 mm (0.197 in.) from the tip of the drill as shown in the illustration.
Tech Tips
Tape the 4 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit to prevent the drill bit from going too deep.
Lightly press the drill against the 5 rivets and drill off the flanges of the 5 rivets.

CAUTION:
Be careful of the drilled rivet as it may become hot.
Note
Pressing the drill too firmly will cause the rivet to turn and result in the rivet not being drilled through.
Do not pry the rivet with the drill because this may cause damage to the installation holes of the rivet or the drill bit.
Remove the front door upper window frame moulding LH.
Using a vacuum cleaner, remove the rivet fragments and shavings from the drilled area.
