NAME PLATE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SYMBOL EMBLEM (for ALPHARD)

    Tech Tips

    When installing the symbol emblem, heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly and symbol emblem using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Back Door Outside Garnish Sub-assembly 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    Symbol Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    1. Clean the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      Install a new symbol emblem.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly and a symbol emblem.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the symbol emblem.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Align the boss positions and install the symbol emblem.

        Tech Tips

        Press the symbol emblem firmly to install it.

  2. INSTALL SYMBOL EMBLEM (for VELLFIRE)

    Tech Tips

    When installing the symbol emblem, heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly and symbol emblem using a heat light.

    Symbol Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    1. Clean the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the back door outside garnish sub-assembly.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      Install a new symbol emblem.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the back door outside garnish sub-assembly and a symbol emblem.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the symbol emblem.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Align the boss positions and install the symbol emblem.

        Tech Tips

        Press the symbol emblem firmly to install it.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE (for ALPHARD)

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 1 back door name plate, heat the back door panel and No. 1 back door name plate using a heat light.

    Back Door Panel 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    No. 1 Back Door Name Plate 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    1. Clean the back door panel surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the back door panel surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the back door panel.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

    2. Install a new No. 1 back door name plate.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the back door panel and a new No. 1 back door name plate.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the back door name plate.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

        Install the No. 1 back door name plate in the position shown in the illustration.

      4. Remove the application sheet.

        Tech Tips

        Press the No. 1 back door name plate firmly to install it.

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE (for VELLFIRE)

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 1 back door name plate, heat the back door panel and No. 1 back door name plate using a heat light.

    1. Clean the back door panel surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the back door panel surface.

    2. Install a new No. 1 back door name plate.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the back door panel and a No. 1 back door name plate.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the back door name plate.

      4. Remove the application sheet.

        Tech Tips

        Press the No. 1 back door name plate firmly to install it.

  5. INSTALL BACK DOOR NAME PLATE (for Power Captain Seat with Memory)

    When installing the back door name plate, heat the back door panel and back door name plate using a heat light.

    1. Clean the back door panel surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the back door panel surface.

      1. Using a heat light, heat the back door panel and a back door name plate.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the back door name plate.

        Press the back door name plate firmly to install it.

  6. INSTALL NO. 4 BACK DOOR NAME PLATE (for 2GR-FKS)

    Tech Tips

    When installing the No. 4 back door name plate, heat the back door panel and No. 4 back door name plate using a heat light.

        Tech Tips

        Press the back door panel emblem firmly to install it.
