REAR SPOILER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL REAR SPOILER SEAL

   Tech Tips

   When installing the rear spoiler seal, heat the rear spoiler using a heat light.

   Standard
   Item Temperature Rear Spoiler 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

   
   

   1. Clean the rear spoiler surface.

      
      

      1. Using a heat light, heat the rear spoiler surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the rear spoiler.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

   2. 

      *a	Mark-off Line

      Install 2 new rear spoiler seals.

      
      

      1. Using a heat light, heat the rear spoiler.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the 2 rear spoiler seals.

         Tech Tips

         After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Align the 2 rear spoiler seals with the mark-off lines of the rear spoiler, and then install them.

         Tech Tips

         Press the rear spoiler seals firmly to install it.

2. INSTALL REAR SPOILER

   Tech Tips

   When installing the rear spoiler, heat the rear spoiler and vehicle body using a heat light.

   Standard
   Item Temperature Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F) Rear Spoiler 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

   
   

   1. Clean the vehicle body surface.

      
      

      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

   2. 

      *1	Rear Spoiler Seal
      	Install in this Direction

      Attach the clip to install the rear spoiler as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Press the rear spoiler firmly to install it.

   3. Connect the connector.

   4. Connect the washer hose.

   5. Attach the clamp.

   6. Install the 4 bolts.

   7. Install the 2 hole plugs.

   8. Remove the protective tape.
