REAR BUMPER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER

      *A for Cold Area Specification Vehicles

      except Cold Area Specification Vehicles:

      Remove the 7 clips.

    2. for Cold Area Specification Vehicles:

      Remove the 9 clips.

    3. B006N3E

      Remove the clip.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to remove the clip on the other side.

    4. Detach the claw.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to detach the claw on the other side.

      B006PCE Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the rear bumper cover.

    6. B006PEX

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 rear bumper cushions.

      Detach the claw as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure to detach the claw on the other side.

      Detach the claw and remove the rear bumper cover as shown in the illustration.

    9. Disconnect the connector.

  2. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER LH (w/ Energy Absorber)

      Turn the clip and remove the clip and rear bumper energy absorber LH.

  3. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PROTECTOR LH (w/ Energy Absorber)

      Remove the 3 clips and rear bumper protector LH.

  4. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PROTECTOR RH (w/ Energy Absorber)

      Remove the 3 clips and rear bumper protector RH.

  5. REMOVE REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER RH (w/ Energy Absorber)

      Turn the clip and remove the rear bumper energy absorber RH.

  6. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

  7. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH


    1. for ALPHARD:

    2. for VELLFIRE:

      Click here

  8. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER COVER LH

      B006PCE Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the rear bumper upper cover LH.

      B006N8A Remove in this Direction

      Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Detach the claw and remove the rear bumper upper cover LH as shown in the illustration.

  9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER UPPER COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  10. REMOVE REAR BUMPER NO. 1 SIDE SUPPORT LH

      B006NJK Remove in this Direction

      Using a screwdriver, turn the clips 90° and remove the 3 clips.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the rear bumper side support LH as shown in the illustration.

  11. REMOVE REAR BUMPER NO. 1 SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  12. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

      *a 90°
      B006N8A Rotation Direction
      B006NJK Remove in this Direction

      Using a screwdriver, turn the clips 90° and remove the 3 clips.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the rear bumper side support LH as shown in the illustration.

  13. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE REAR WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION LH

      Remove the 2 clips labeled A.

    2. Loosen clip B and remove the rear wheel opening extension LH.

      Tech Tips

      Do not completely remove clip B.

  15. REMOVE REAR WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
