DESCRIPTION

These DTCs are stored when the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH detects a malfunction in the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH power source or rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH.

The headlight ECU sub-assembly LH outputs DTC B2416 and B241A.

  • After the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH is replaced, vehicle information registration and initialization are necessary.

  • Before performing the check, check that the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH is installed properly.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Clear DTCs

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and wait for at least 10 seconds or more.

    3. Check for DTCs.

      Body Electrical > HL AutoLeveling > Trouble Codes
      OK
      DTCs B2416 and B241A are not output.

  2. INSPECT REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Remove the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH - REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH)


    1. Disconnect the A28 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the L4 rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A28-16 (SBR) - L4-3 (SHB) Always Below 1 Ω
      A28-17 (SHRL) - L4-2 (SHRL) Always Below 1 Ω
      A28-15 (SGR) - L4-1 (SHG) Always Below 1 Ω
      A28-16 (SBR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A28-17 (SHRL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A28-15 (SGR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
