DESCRIPTION

These DTCs are stored when the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH detects a malfunction in the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH power source or rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH.

The headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH outputs DTC B2416 and B241A.

  • After the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH is replaced, vehicle information registration and initialization are necessary.

PROCEDURE


  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    2. Turn on the headlights using the headlight dimmer switch.

    3. Check for DTCs.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT LIGHT CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY LH - REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH)


    1. Disconnect the A28 headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the L4 rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A28-16 (SBR) - L4-3 (SHB) Always Below 1 Ω
      A28-17 (SHRL) - L4-2 (SHRL) Always Below 1 Ω
      A28-15 (SGR) - L4-1 (SHG) Always Below 1 Ω
      A28-16 (SBR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A28-17 (SHRL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A28-15 (SGR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. REPLACE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Temporarily replace the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH with a new or normally functioning one.
