LIGHTING SYSTEM Hazard Warning Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When the combination meter receives a hazard warning signal switch signal, the flasher IC turns on and hazard control is performed.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (HAZARD FLASHER SWITCH)


    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List.

  2. INSPECT HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the hazard warning signal switch assembly.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HAZARD WARNING SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the H9 hazard warning signal switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the G16 combination meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H9-4 - G16-28 (HZSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      H9-1 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      H9-4 or G16-28 (HZSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
