  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      B006N8A Install in this Direction

      Attach the claw to install the windshield wiper switch assembly.

    2. B006NX8

      Connect the 2 connectors.

  2. INSTALL UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER

    Note

    If the upper steering column cover is installed in the incorrect order, the parts may break.

      Attach the claw and clip to connect the upper steering column cover to the instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly.

      B006N8A Install in this Direction

      Attach the claw to install the upper steering column cover to the steering column assembly.

  3. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER

    Note

    If the lower steering column cover is installed in the incorrect order, the parts may break.

      Attach the claw to install the lower steering column cover to the upper steering column cover.

      With the steering wheel assembly facing straight ahead, turn the steering wheel 90° to the right and install the screw shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      2.0 N*m  { 20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf }

      With the steering wheel assembly facing straight ahead, turn the steering wheel 90° to the left and install the screw shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      2.0 N*m  { 20 kgf*cm, 18 in.*lbf }

    4. Operate the tilt and telescopic lever to return the steering position to its original position.

  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
