PROCEDURE
INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for LHD)
Check the front washer operation.
| *a | Component with harness connected (Windshield Wiper Switch Assembly) |
Connect a voltmeter positive (+) lead to terminal G115-7 (WF) and a negative (-) lead to terminal G115-4 (EW).
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the front washer switch on and off, and check the voltage between terminals G115-7 (WF) and G115-4 (EW).
| OK |
|---|
| Voltage changes as shown in the following illustration. |
If the result is not as specified, replace the windshield wiper switch assembly.
Check the rear washer operation.
| *a | Component with harness connected (Windshield Wiper Switch Assembly) |
Connect a voltmeter positive (+) lead to terminal G114-5 (WR) and a negative (-) lead to terminal G115-4 (EW).
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the rear washer switch on and off, and check the voltage between terminals G114-5 (WR) and G115-4 (EW).
| OK |
|---|
| Voltage changes as shown in the following illustration. |
If the result is not as specified, replace the windshield wiper switch assembly.
INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for RHD, w/o Rain Sensor)
Check the front wiper intermittent operation.
| *a | Component with harness connected (Windshield Wiper Switch Assembly) |
Connect a voltmeter positive (+) lead to terminal G6-2 (+1) and a negative (-) lead to terminal G7-7 (EW).
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the wiper switch to the INT position.
Operate the intermittent wiper and check the voltage between terminals G6-2 (+1) and G7-7 (EW).
| OK |
|---|
| Voltage changes as shown in the illustration. |
If the result is not as specified, replace the windshield wiper switch assembly.
