  1. FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION


    1. When the slide door motor unit (power slide door ECU) detects a malfunction, it switches to power slide door stop control to protect the system.

      During operation condition determination Open circuit in the power slide door sensor assembly*1 Switches to power brake control after the buzzer sounds for 3 seconds*2
      Slide door drive motor position malfunction Switches to intermittent clutch control after the buzzer sounds for 3 seconds*3
      During a slide door open/close operation Open circuit in the power slide door sensor assembly*4 Switches to power brake control after the buzzer sounds for 3 seconds
      Slide door drive motor position malfunction Switches to intermittent clutch control after the buzzer sounds for 3 seconds
      Slide door drive motor continues operating past the set limit (overtime) Switches to power brake control after the buzzer sounds for 3 seconds
      Magnetic clutch continues operating past the set limit (overtime) Switches to power brake control after the buzzer sounds for 3 seconds
      Slide door drive motor current detection circuit malfunction Switches to power brake control after the buzzer sounds for 3 seconds
      Pulse sensor malfunction Switches to intermittent clutch control after the buzzer sounds for 3 seconds

      *1: Only while slide door close operation start conditions are being judged.

      *2: The system switches to power brake control when an open/close operation using the slide door handle is performed.

      *3: The system switches to intermittent clutch control when an open /close operation using the slide door handle is performed.

      *4: Only during a slide door close operation.
