REMOVE SLIDING ROOF LOCK CATCH PLATE RH

Detach the claw and remove the sliding roof lock catch plate RH from the sliding roof housing sub-assembly.
Tech Tips
The sliding roof lock catch plate is used when the vehicle is assembled at the factory and is not needed for reinstallation.

Use the same procedure described for the RH side.
REMOVE REMOVABLE ROOF HOUSING SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET RH
Note
Do not disassemble the removable roof housing side mounting bracket RH except when replacing it.
Put a 4 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit into a drill.
Wind tape around the drill bit approximately 4 mm (0.157 in.) from the tip of the drill as shown in the illustration.
Note
Tape the drill bit to prevent the drill bit from going too deep.

Lightly press the drill against the rivets, drill off the flanges of the 2 rivets and remove the removable roof housing side mounting bracket RH.
CAUTION:
Be careful of the drilled rivet as it may become hot.
Note
Pressing the drill too firmly will cause the rivet to turn and result in the rivet not being drilled through.
Do not pry the rivet with the drill because this may cause damage to the installation holes of the rivet or the drill bit.
Remove the rivet fragments and shavings.

REMOVE NO. 2 REMOVABLE ROOF BRACKET

Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
Put a 4 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit into a drill.
Wind tape around the drill bit approximately 4 mm (0.157 in.) from the tip of the drill as shown in the illustration.

REMOVE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 bolts and sliding roof drive gear assembly.
REMOVE NO. 2 SUNSHADE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the screw.
Detach the claw and guide and remove the sliding roof drain hose joint RH.
Remove the screw.
Detach the claw and guide and remove the sliding roof drain hose joint LH.

Slide and remove the No. 2 sunshade trim sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE REAR ROOF DRIP CHANNEL

Using a screwdriver, detach the claw.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

Slide and remove the rear roof drip channel as shown in the illustration.
