SLIDING ROOF SYSTEM Sliding Roof does not Move by Operating Sliding Roof Control Switch

DESCRIPTION

The sliding roof drive gear assembly (sliding roof ECU) receives each signal when the map light assembly (slide roof switch) or integration control and panel assembly (slide roof switch) is operated and drives its built-in motor.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • If the sliding roof drive gear assembly (sliding roof ECU) is replaced, the sliding roof drive gear assembly (sliding roof ECU) must be initialized.

  • The sliding roof system uses the CAN and LIN communication systems. First, confirm that there are no malfunctions in the CAN and LIN communication systems. Refer to How to Proceed with Troubleshooting.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (Slide Roof)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Sliding Roof / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (Open Switch, Close Switch)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Sliding Roof / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

      Disconnect the sliding roof drive gear assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the S38 sliding roof drive gear assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the S15 map light assembly connector.

    3. Disconnect the S8 integration control and panel assembly connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
