Note
Do not race the engine before replacing the compressor and magnet clutch.
RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT
REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE
Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the compressor and magnet clutch.
Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.
Note
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT SUCTION HOSE
Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant suction hose from the compressor and magnet clutch.
Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant suction hose.
Note
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent moisture and foreign matter from entering them.
REMOVE COMPRESSOR AND MAGNET CLUTCH
Detach the clamp.
Disconnect the 3 connectors.
Remove the bolt and wiring harness clamp bracket.

Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and wiring harness clamp bracket.
Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts and compressor and magnet clutch.
Tech Tips
Remove the compressor and magnet clutch from the vehicle with the stud bolt remaining in the compressor and magnet clutch.
