COMPRESSOR(for 2GR-FE) DISASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE COOLER COMPRESSOR BRACKET

      Detach the clamp.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

    3. Remove the screw and cooler compressor bracket.

  2. REMOVE MAGNET CLUTCH ASSEMBLY

      *a SST

      Clamp the compressor and magnet clutch in a vise between aluminum plates.

    2. Using SST, hold the magnet clutch hub.

    3. Remove the bolt, magnet clutch hub and magnet clutch washer(s).

      Tech Tips

      There is no set number of magnet clutch washers that are used for adjusting clutch clearance.

    4. B006NPI

      Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring and magnet clutch rotor.

      Note

      Do not damage the seal cover of the bearing when removing the snap ring.

    5. Disconnect the connector.

    6. B006LY7

      Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring and magnet clutch stator.
