CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
There is risk of injury.
If the front seat side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback frame sub-assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.
Replace any other damaged parts as necessary.

Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
REMOVE NO.1 SEAT LEG COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Front Seat Rear Side)
Keep the rear No. 2 seat assembly LH flipped up.

Operate the seat track handle control lever LH of the rear No. 1 seat assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow to move the rear No. 1 seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.
Operate the seat track handle control lever LH of the rear No. 1 seat assembly LH again in the direction indicated by the arrow to move the rear No. 1 seat assembly LH to the right side of the vehicle and then further back to the rearmost position.
Operate the seat track lock open lever LH of the front seat assembly LH to slide the front seat assembly LH to the rear No. 1 seat assembly LH center position.

Outer Side:
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the claw and open the No. 1 seat leg cover in removal direction (1) as shown in the illustration.
Pull in removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to detach the hook and remove the No. 1 seat leg cover.

Inner Side:
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the claw and open the No. 1 seat leg cover in removal direction (1) as shown in the illustration.
Pull in removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to detach the hook and remove the No. 1 seat leg cover.
REMOVE NO.1 SEAT LEG COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Front Seat Front Side)
Operate the front seat cushion lever in the direction indicated by the arrow to move the ottoman of the front seat assembly LH to the uppermost position.

Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the claw and open the No. 1 seat leg cover in removal direction (1) as shown in the illustration.
Pull in removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to detach the hook and remove the No. 1 seat leg cover.

Place your hands at the positions shown in the illustration and pull in the removal direction shown in the illustration to detach the claw and guide and remove the front seat lower cushion shield.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the 2 bolts on the front side of the front seat assembly LH.
Remove the 2 bolts on the rear side of the front seat assembly LH.
Operate the reclining adjuster release handle LH to set the seatback of the front seat assembly LH to the perpendicular position.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
Disconnect the front seat airbag assembly LH connector.
Push down the white housing lock and slide the yellow CPA. (At this time, the connector cannot be disconnected yet.)

Disconnect the pretensioner connector.
Disconnect the connector and wire harness clamp.
Operate the front seat cushion lever to move the ottoman of the front seat assembly LH to the lowermost position.
Remove the front seat assembly LH as shown in the illustration.
Note
Protect the front seat legs.
Do not damage the front seat assembly LH, body exterior or interior parts.
