  • If the front seat side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback frame sub-assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

  • Replace any other damaged parts as necessary.

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, rotate the screw portion 90° counterclockwise to unlock it.

    2. Pull in the removal direction shown in the illustration to remove the guide and 2 No. 3 floor carpet mouldings.

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LEG COVER LH


    1. Operate the power seat switch knob LH (for Slide) to slide the front seat assembly LH to the frontmost position.

      Pull in the removal direction shown in the illustration to fold back the floor carpet.

      Place your hand at the positions shown in the illustration and pull in the removal direction shown in the illustration to detach the claw and guide and remove the front seat leg cover LH.

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT NO. 1 LEG COVER


    1. for Outer Side:

        Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the claw and open the front seat No. 1 leg cover in removal direction (1) as shown in the illustration.

      2. Pull in removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to detach the hook and remove the front seat No. 1 leg cover.

    2. for Inner Side:

        Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the claw and open the front seat No. 1 leg cover in removal direction (1) as shown in the illustration.

      2. Pull in removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to detach the hook and remove the front seat No. 1 leg cover.

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. B006LQV

      Remove the 2 bolts on the rear side of the front seat assembly LH.

    2. Operate the power seat switch knob LH (for Slide) to slide the front seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.

      Remove the 2 bolts on the front side of the front seat assembly RH.

    4. Operate the power seat switch knob LH (for Slide) to slide the front seat assembly LH to the frontmost position.

    5. Operate the power seat switch knob LH (for Vertical) to set the seat cushion height of the front seat assembly LH to the uppermost position.

    6. Operate the power seat switch knob LH (for Reclining) to set the seatback of the front seat assembly LH to the perpendicular position.

      Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      Note

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    8. Disconnect the front seat airbag assembly LH connector.


      1. Push the slider to detach the primary lock. Continue pushing and slide the slider to detach the secondary lock and then disconnect the airbag connector.

    9. Disconnect the connector.

      Remove the front seat assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

      Note


      • Protect the front seat legs.


      • Do not damage the front seat assembly LH, body exterior or interior parts.
