CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are installed, removed or replaced during the front seat assembly removal/installation are shown below.

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
There is risk of injury.
If the front seat side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback frame sub-assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.
Replace any other damaged parts as necessary.
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The procedure listed below is for the RH side.

Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

Protective Tape |
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, rotate the screw portion 90° counterclockwise to unlock it.
Pull in the removal direction shown in the illustration to remove the guide and 2 No. 3 floor carpet mouldings.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT LEG COVER
Operate the seat track adjusting handle to slide the front seat assembly RH to the frontmost position.

Outer Side:
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the claw and open the front No. 1 seat leg cover in removal direction (1) as shown in the illustration.
Pull in removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to detach the hook and remove the front No. 1 seat leg cover.

Inner Side:
Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the claw and open the front No. 1 seat leg cover in removal direction (1) as shown in the illustration.
Pull in removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to detach the hook and remove the front No. 1 seat leg cover.

Detach the claw and guide and remove the front seat leg cover.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH
Remove the 2 bolts on the rear side of the front seat assembly RH.
Operate the seat track adjusting handle to slide the front seat assembly RH to the rearmost position.
Remove the 2 bolts on the front side of the front seat assembly RH.
Operate the seat track adjusting handle to slide the front seat assembly RH to the center position.
w/ Vertical
Operate the vertical adjuster handle RH to set the seat cushion height of the front seat assembly RH to the uppermost position.
Operate the reclining adjuster release handle RH to set the seatback of the front seat assembly RH to the perpendicular position.
Disconnect the front seat airbag assembly RH connector.
Push the slider to detach the primary lock. Continue pushing and slide the slider to detach the secondary lock and then disconnect the airbag connector.

Disconnect the connector.
Remove the front seat assembly RH as shown in the illustration.
Note
Protect the front seat legs.
Do not damage the front seat assembly RH, body exterior or interior parts.
