PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL SEATBACK SPRING DAMPER RH (w/ Damper)

      Install the seatback spring damper RH with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT LH

      Attach the claw and install the seatback climate control duct LH to the seatback climate control blower LH.

  3. INSTALL SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH

      Install the seatback climate control blower LH with the 4 screws.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HOOK

      Install the 2 front seatback hooks.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

    2. Push in the installation direction (2) shown in the illustration to attach the claw and install the front seatback spring sub-assembly LH.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR

      Attach the guide in the installation direction (1) shown in the illustration.

    2. Attach the claw in the installation direction (2) shown in the illustration and install the 2 front seatback edge protectors.

  7. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

    3. Install the seat cushion climate control blower assembly LH with the screw.

  12. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT LH

      Insert the seat cushion climate control duct LH in the installation direction shown in the illustration and align the front seat cushion spring sub-assembly LH with the guide.

      Note

      Do not dirty or damage the seat cushion climate control duct LH.

    2. Attach the claw and install the seat cushion climate control duct LH.

  13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Temporarily install the front seat cushion lower shield LH in the installation direction (1) shown in the illustration.

    2. Push in the installation direction (2) shown in the illustration to attach the clip.

    3. Push in the installation direction (3) shown in the illustration to attach the hook.

    4. Install the front seat lower cushion shield LH with the screw.

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH

  17. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      Tighten the bolts while pushing the front seatback frame sub-assembly LH.

  18. INSTALL FRONT SEAT WIRE LH

      Attach the clamp and claw.

    2. Connect the 5 connectors and install the front seat wire LH.

      Align the guide and attach the claw.

    4. Install the connector holder with the 2 screws.

  19. INSTALL SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Attach the clamp to install the seat heater control sub-assembly LH.

    2. Connect the connector.

  20. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SEAT WIRE LH

    3. Connect the 3 connectors and install the front No. 2 seat wire LH.

      • When a wire that is less than 1000 mm (3.28 ft.) in length is needed, cut or shape 1000 mm (3.28 ft.) wire into the dimensions shown in the illustration.


      • Make sure to read the precautions before preparing the wire.

  23. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

    • When installing the seat cover, refer to the precautions in order to prevent wrinkles from forming.

    • Align the seam allowance in a single direction as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 18 new hog rings in the order indicated in the illustration.

      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seat cushion cover.


      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seat cushion cover.

    3. Using hog ring pliers, connect the 2 straps of the separate type front seat cushion cover to the separate type front seat cushion pad with 2 new hog rings.

  24. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

  30. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

    2. Push in the rear end of the seatback cover with pad in installation direction (2) shown in the illustration.

      Install the 2 brackets of the separate type front seatback cover with a new nut in the order indicated in the illustration.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • Be sure to wrap the front seat airbag assembly LH with the bracket when installing.

      • Check that the band is not twisted after installing the bracket.

      • If the bracket is not securely installed, the front seat airbag assembly LH may not deploy properly. For this reason, the bracket must be securely installed.

    5. Attach the clamp.

      Secure the wire harness of the front seat airbag assembly RH with fastening tape.
