CLIMATE CONTROL SEAT SYSTEM Climate Control System does not Operate on Rear Right Side

DESCRIPTION

The rear seat climate control ECU RH receives rear power seat switch position signals when the engine switch is on (IG), and then transmits airflow amount signals to each seat climate blower.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER RH - REAR SEAT BACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER RH)


    1. Disconnect the Y5 rear seat climate control blower RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the Q1 rear seat back climate control blower RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Y5-3 (IGB) - Q1-1 (IGB) Always Below 1 Ω
      Y5-3 (IGB) or Q1-1 (IGB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Y5-4 (VS) - Q1-2 (VS) Always Below 1 Ω
      Y5-4 (VS) or Q1-2 (VS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      Y5-2 (GND2) - Q1-3 (GND2) Always Below 1 Ω
      Y5-2 (GND2) or Q1-3 (GND2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Temporarily replace the rear seat back climate control blower RH with a new or normally functioning one.

    1. Disconnect the Y4 rear seat climate control ECU RH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Y4-13 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      Y4-12 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      Engine switch off Below 1 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Disconnect the Y5 rear seat climate control blower RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
