SEAT HEATER SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. CHECK FRONT SEAT HEATER

    Tech Tips

    When the volume control of the refreshing seat switch is rotated clockwise, the indicator light (yellow) illuminates and the seat heater operates. When the switch is rotated counterclockwise, the indicator light (green) illuminates and the seat climate control blower operates.

    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    2. Check that the indicator light (yellow) (for RH) illuminates and the surface of the driver side seat becomes warm when the volume control of the refreshing seat switch (for RH) is rotated clockwise.

    3. Check that the indicator light (yellow) (for LH) illuminates and the surface of the passenger side seat becomes warm when the volume control of the refreshing seat switch (for LH) is rotated clockwise.

    4. Check that the front seat surface temperature changes according to the volume adjustment operation of the seat heater switch.

  2. CHECK REAR SEAT HEATER (w/ Rear Seat Heater (w/ Rear Climate Control Seat))

    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    2. When the heated and ventilated seat main switch is turned on and the volume is set to the seat heater position, check that the seat heater indicator light illuminates and the rear No. 1 seat surface warms.

    3. Check that the rear seat surface temperature changes according to the volume adjustment operation of the heated and ventilated seat main switch.

  3. CHECK REAR SEAT HEATER (w/ Rear Seat Heater (w/o Rear Climate Control Seat))

    Tech Tips

    When the seat heater is set to (HI), both the seat heater indicator lights (HI) and (LO) are illuminated. When the seat heater is set to (LO), only the seat heater indicator light (LO) is illuminated.

    1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    2. With the seat heater switch on, check that the seat heater indicator light illuminates and that the rear seat surface warms up.

    3. Check that the heat of the seat surface switches between HI → LO → OFF in accordance with the HI → LO → OFF operation of the seat heater switch.
