FRONT POWER SEAT CONTROL SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The driver seat is equipped with slide, reclining, rear lifter and front vertical functions.
The front passenger seat is equipped with slide, reclining and ottoman functions.
The memory call function uses the key ID code of the key to memorize and recall the appropriate driving position for each individual who possesses a master key or sub key.
FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT (for Driver Seat)
| Component | Function | |
|---|---|---|
| Front power seat switch LH*1 or RH*2 | Based on the switch operation, seat adjuster signals are input to the front power seat switch LH*1 or RH*2 to adjust the seat accordingly. | |
| Front seat adjuster assembly LH*1 or RH*2 | Slide motor | Receives a signal from the front power seat switch LH*1 or RH*2 and slides the seat forward and rearward. |
| Front vertical motor | Receives a signal from the front power seat switch LH*1 or RH*2 and raises and lowers the front of the seat cushion. | |
| Rear lifter motor | Receives a signal from the front power seat switch LH*1 or RH*2 and raises and lowers the seat cushion. | |
| Position sensor | Built into each motor and sends position data to the front power seat switch LH*1 or RH*2 so that it can detect the seat position at all times. | |
| Front seatback frame sub-assembly LH*1 or RH*2 | Reclining motor | Receives a signal from the front power seat switch LH*1 or RH*2 and tilts the seatback forward and rearward. |
| Position sensor | Built into the motor and sends position data to the front power seat switch LH*1 or RH*2 so that it can detect the seat position at all times. | |
| Seat memory switch | If the seat memory SET switch is being pressed when the M1, M2 or M3 seat memory switch is pressed, or if the M1, M2 or M3 switch is pressed within 3 seconds of pressing the SET switch, the outer mirror control ECU assembly LH*1 or RH*2 sends the signals so that the seat position can be stored. Then, when a seat memory switch is pressed, a signal is sent to the front outer mirror control ECU assembly LH*1 or RH*2 and the seat position changes according to memory. |

SYSTEM OPERATION (for Driver Seat)
The front power seat functions which can be operated with the power seat motors and memorized are shown below.
| Seat Function | Driver Seat |
|---|---|
| Slide | Power and Memory |
| Reclining | Power and Memory |
| Front Vertical | Power and Memory |
| Rear Lifter | Power and Memory |
The seat memory switch sends memory switch information to the outer mirror control ECU assembly LH*1 or RH*2. Then the information is sent to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via CAN communication and then an instruction to memorize the seat position is sent to the front power seat switch LH*1 or RH*2 via CAN communication. As a result, the seat position is memorized.
