DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the combination meter assembly detects a fuel sender gauge assembly malfunction via a direct line.

When IG voltage is 9.5 V or more and the following condition is detected:


  • Average input signal of fuel sender gauge assembly is 630 Ω or more 3 times consecutively


  • Harness or connector

  • Fuel sender gauge assembly

  • Combination meter assembly

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (FUEL INPUT)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.

    5. Check the values by referring to the table below.

  2. INSPECT FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the combination meter assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the K25 fuel sender gauge assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G16-33 (FR) - K25-1 (FS) Always Below 1 Ω
      G16-34 (FE) - K25-2 (FE) Always Below 1 Ω
      G16-33 (FR) or K25-1 (FS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G16-34 (FE) or K25-2 (FE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Remove the fuel sender gauge assembly.
