LIGHTING SYSTEM Door Unlock Detection Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of each door unlock detection switch.

Note


  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to the Service Bulletin.

  • As the door control battery is installed between the vehicle battery and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), first perform the inspections in On-vehicle Inspection to confirm that there are no malfunctions in the power source circuit for the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) before performing this troubleshooting procedure.

  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (DOOR LOCK POS)


    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List.

  2. INSPECT FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH (DOOR LOCK POSITION SWITCH)


    1. Remove the front door lock with motor assembly RH.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY RH - JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY LH AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the I8 front door lock with motor assembly RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the 4A junction block assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I8-7 (LSSR) - 4A-38 Always Below 1 Ω
      I8-8 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      I8-7 (LSSR) or 4A-38 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. INSPECT JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the junction block assembly LH.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Disconnect the 4H junction block assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      I24-8 (LSSR) - 4H-22 Always Below 1 Ω
      I24-7 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    2. Disconnect the G62 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      J3-1 (LSSR) - G62-2 (LSWR) Always Below 1 Ω
      J3-4 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
