  1. ILLUMINATION CONTROL SYSTEM (Illuminated Entry System)

    Tech Tips

    When inspecting the following functions, make sure that the map light switch is in the DOOR position.


    1. The illuminated entry system has the control functions listed in the table below.

    2. The interior illumination light (roof color illumination) and No. 2 interior illumination light (roof color illumination) operate even when the door switch of the map light assembly is off.

    3. When the interior illumination light (roof color illumination) and No. 2 interior illumination light (roof color illumination) have been turned off using the dimmer switch or multi-information display, they will not perform linked illumination.

      Control Outline Lighting
      Actuation Area-linked When a registered key is brought within any vehicle exterior detection area around the doors, the items listed to the right turn on.

      • Map light assembly*

      • Spot light assembly*

      • Interior illumination light sub-assembly (roof color illumination)*

      • No. 2 interior illumination light sub-assembly (roof color illumination)*

      • Engine switch illumination
      Door Lock/Unlock-linked When any door is unlocked, the items listed to the right turn on.

      • Map light assembly*

      • Spot light assembly*

      • Interior illumination light sub-assembly (roof color illumination)*

      • No. 2 interior illumination light sub-assembly (roof color illumination)*

      • Engine switch illumination

      • No. 1 interior illumination light RH (footwell light)

      • No. 1 interior illumination light LH (footwell light)
      When all doors are locked, the items listed to the right turn off.
      Door Open/Close-linked When any door is opened, the items listed to the right turn on.

      • Map light assembly*

      • Spot light assembly*

      • Interior illumination light sub-assembly (roof color illumination)*

      • No. 2 interior illumination light sub-assembly (roof color illumination)*

      • Engine switch illumination

      • No. 1 interior illumination light RH (footwell light)

      • No. 1 interior illumination light LH (footwell light)
      When all doors are closed, the items listed to the right turn off.
      When all doors are closed, the items listed to the right dim, and then slowly turn off.

      • Map light assembly

      • No. 2 interior illumination light sub-assembly
      Engine Switch-linked When the engine switch is turned from on (ACC) or on (IG) to off, the items listed to the right turn on.

      • Engine switch illumination

  2. BATTERY SAVING CONTROL SYSTEM


    1. The battery saving control system has the following control functions:

      Control Outline Lighting
      Interior light auto cut function The illumination of the items listed on the right will turn off 20 minutes after the engine switch is turned off, regardless of whether the doors are open or closed and regardless of the map light and spot light switch position.
