The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the front door lock removal/installation are shown below.

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      *1 Front Door Lock Open Rod
      B006N8A Remove in this Direction

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.

    3. Disconnect the front door lock open rod to remove the front door lock assembly as shown in the illustration.

    4. When reusing the front door lock assembly:

        Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the front door lock assembly.

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claws as shown in the illustration.

      Disengage the hinges to remove the front door lock cover sub-assembly from the front door lock assembly.

      Disengage the guide to remove the front door lock remote control cable assembly from the front door lock assembly.

  22. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the guide to remove the front door inside locking cable assembly from the front door lock assembly.
