Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

Open the outer lap belt anchor cover in the direction indicated by the arrows shown in the illustration to detach the claw, and then remove the outer lap belt anchor cover.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Floor Anchor)
except Super Long Slide Seat:
Remove the bolt and disconnect the anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH.
REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH

REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR COVER LH
Tech Tips
Perform this procedure when replacing the shoulder belt anchor cover LH
Detach the guide and remove the shoulder belt anchor cover LH in the order indicated in the illustration.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the nut and disconnect the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
Remove the bolt.
Detach the 2 guides and remove the front seat outer belt assembly LH.
REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 bolts.
Detach the guide to remove the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
