FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the front seat outer belt assembly removal / installation are shown below.

Note

After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.
Note

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

Tech Tips
- Use the same procedure for outer lap belt anchor covers.
- For the LH side, use the same procedure for vehicles without super long slide seat.
1. Outer Lap Belt Anchor Cover Opening Direction
  
  Open the outer lap belt anchor cover in the direction indicated by the arrows shown in the illustration to detach the claw, and then remove the outer lap belt anchor cover.

  Remove the bolt and disconnect the anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

Tech Tips

Perform this procedure when replacing the shoulder belt anchor cover LH
1. Detach the guide and remove the shoulder belt anchor cover LH in the order indicated in the illustration.
REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
1. Remove the nut and disconnect the shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH.
2. *1 Locking Button
  
  Protective Tape
  
  Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.
  
  Tech Tips
  
  Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
3. Remove the bolt.
4. Detach the 2 guides and remove the front seat outer belt assembly LH.
REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the 2 bolts.
2. Detach the guide to remove the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
