POWER SEAT SWITCH(for Power Captain Seat with Memory) INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH LH

   
   
   1. 

      *1	Fold Switch
      *2	Return Switch
      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Power Seat Switch LH)

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 1 (E) - 5 (FWD) Fold switch pressed Below 1 Ω 1 (E) - 5 (FWD) 1 (E) - 4 (BACK) OFF 10 kΩ or higher 1 (E) - 4 (BACK) Return switch pressed Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power seat switch LH.

   2. Apply battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the rear power seat switch LH illuminates.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (ILL+) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (ILL-) Illumination illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power seat switch LH.

2. INSPECT REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH RH

   
   
   1. 

      *1	Fold Switch
      *2	Return Switch
      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear Power Seat Switch RH)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 1 (E) - 5 (FWD) Fold switch pressed Below 1 Ω 1 (E) - 5 (FWD) 1 (E) - 4 (BACK) OFF 10 kΩ or higher 1 (E) - 4 (BACK) Return switch pressed Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power seat switch RH.

   2. Apply battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the rear power seat switch RH illuminates.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (ILL+) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (ILL-) Illumination illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear power seat switch RH.

3. INSPECT REAR NO. 3 POWER SEAT SWITCH

   
   
   1. 

      *1	Fold Switch
      *2	Return Switch
      *a	Component without harness connected (Rear No. 3 Power Seat Switch)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 1 (E) - 5 (FWD) Fold switch pressed Below 1 Ω 1 (E) - 5 (FWD) 1 (E) - 4 (BACK) OFF 10 kΩ or higher 1 (E) - 4 (BACK) Return switch pressed Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear No. 3 power seat switch.

   2. Apply battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the rear No. 3 power seat switch illuminates.

      OK
      Condition Specified Condition Battery positive (+) → Terminal 3 (ILL+) Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (ILL-) Illumination illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear No. 3 power seat switch.
