DESCRIPTION

DTC C1621 is stored if the parking assist ECU determines that the input/output signal communication with the rear television camera assembly is abnormal.

DTC C1622 is stored if the parking assist ECU judges as a result of its self check that the signals or signal lines between the parking assist ECU and the rear television camera assembly are not normal.

Note


  • When "System initializing" is displayed on the parking assist ECU after the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, correct the steering angle neutral point.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the F8 and F9 parking assist ECU connectors.

    2. Disconnect the m1 rear television camera assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      F8-12 (CV+) - m1-3 (CV+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F8-11 (CV-) - m1-2 (CV-) Always Below 1 Ω
      F8-13 (CGND) - m1-5 (CGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      F9-3 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      F8-14 (CB+) or m1-6 (CB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F8-12 (CV+) or m1-3 (CV+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F8-11 (CV-) or m1-2 (CV-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F8-13 (CGND) or m1-5 (CGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  2. CHECK PARKING ASSIST ECU (CB+, CGND)

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. CHECK REAR TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the parking assist ECU with the connector still connected.

    2. Check the waveform of the rear television camera assembly using an oscilloscope.

      Tech Tips

      The video waveform changes according to the image sent by the rear television camera assembly.
