DESCRIPTION

These DTCs are stored if the parking assist ECU judges as a result of its self check that a synchronization problem is occurring in the image signal sent from the passenger side television camera assembly to the parking assist ECU.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Chassis > Panoramic View Monitor > Clear DTCs
    2. Check for DTCs.

      Click here

      DTCs C1683 and C1684 are not output.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH)


    1. Disconnect the F8 and F9 parking assist ECU connectors.

    2. Disconnect the I3 outer rear view mirror assembly RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      F8-30 (RCB+) - I3-5 (SCB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F8-28 (RCV+) - I3-6 (SCV+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F8-27 (RCV-) - I3-14 (SCV-) Always Below 1 Ω
      F8-29 (RGND) - I3-13 (SGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      F9-3 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      F8-30 (RCB+) or I3-5 (SCB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F8-28 (RCV+) or I3-6 (SCV+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F8-27 (RCV-) or I3-14 (SCV-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Remove the parking assist ECU with the connector still connected.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Remove the parking assist ECU with the connector still connected.

    2. Measure the waveform of the side television camera assembly RH using an oscilloscope.

      Tech Tips


      • A waterproof connector is used for the side television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the radio receiver assembly with the connector connected.

      • The video waveform changes according to the image sent by the side television camera assembly.
