DESCRIPTION

The radio and display receiver assembly and television display assembly are connected by the AVC-LAN communication line.

When an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the radio and display receiver assembly and television display assembly, this DTC will be stored.

When either condition below is met:


  • Television display assembly is/was not connected while the engine switch is/was on (IG or ACC).

  • Communication between the master unit and the television display assembly is/was not possible when the engine is/was started.

  • AVC-LAN circuit between radio and display receiver assembly and television display assembly

  • Television display assembly

  • Radio and display receiver assembly

  • Harness or connector

Tech Tips


  • Even if no fault is present, this DTC may be stored depending on the battery condition or engine start voltage.

  • The radio and display receiver assembly is the master unit.

    1. If DTC B15C3 is output, perform troubleshooting for DTC B15C3 first.

    1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

      Tech Tips


      • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.

      • This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE)

      Disconnect the television display assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY - RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the S36 television display assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the F41 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  7. REPLACE TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the television display assembly.
