REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM(for 9 Inch) Mute Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Television Display Assembly

DESCRIPTION

The radio and display receiver assembly controls the volume according to the mute signal from the television display assembly.

The mute signal is sent to reduce noise and popping sounds, such as those generated when switching modes.

If there is an open in the circuit, noise can be heard from the speakers when changing the sound source.

If there is a short in the circuit, even though the radio and display receiver assembly is functioning normally, no sound or only an extremely faint sound can be heard.

  1. INSPECT TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the F41 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the S36 television display assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S36-6 (MUT1) - F41-8 (MUTE) Always Below 1 Ω
      S36-6 (MUT1) or F41-8 (MUTE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
