PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the F37 and F38 radio and display receiver assembly connectors.

    2. Disconnect the H2 and H4 front No. 3 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Disconnect the d1 and d2 rear No. 3 speaker assembly connectors.

    4. Measure the resistance between the radio and display receiver assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance

      F37-1 (FR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F37-5 (FR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F37-2 (FL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT AND REAR NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the I1 and I17 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    2. Disconnect the H2 and H4 front No. 3 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Disconnect the J10 and J23 rear No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    4. Disconnect the d1 and d2 rear No. 3 speaker assembly connectors.

    5. Measure the resistance between each of the speaker assemblies and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance

  5. REPLACE FRONT NO.3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the front No. 3 speaker assembly with a new or known good one.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.


      Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes
      OK
      No DTCs are output.

      Tech Tips


      • Connect all the connectors to the front No. 3 speaker assemblies that were disconnected.

      • When there is a possibility that either the right or left front No. 3 speaker assembly is defective, inspect by interchanging the right one with the left one.

      • Perform the above inspection on both the LH and RH side.

  8. REPLACE REAR NO.3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the rear No. 3 speaker assembly with a new or known good one.
