PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      3 (+DP2) - 8 (EAU) No switch being operated 95 to 105 kΩ

      Tech Tips

      If the result is not as specified, replace the steering pad switch assembly.

    2. Check the illumination.

      Component without harness connected

      (Steering Pad Switch Assembly)

      		 - -

      1. Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 (IL+2) and a negative (-) lead to terminal 8 (EAU) of the steering pad switch assembly connector.

      2. Check that the switch illumination illuminates.

        OK
        The steering pad switch illumination illuminates.

        Tech Tips

        If the result is not as specified, replace the steering pad switch assembly.
