DESCRIPTION

The power steering ECU assembly distinguishes the engine switch status as on (IG) or off through the IG power source circuit.

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IG)

      (to Power Steering ECU Assembly)

      Disconnect the G20 power steering ECU assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G20-1 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 10.5 to 16 V

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PGND)

      Disconnect the G53 power steering ECU assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      G53-2 (PGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
