ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ECU INSTALLATION

Tech Tips

The parking brake indicator light blinks (red) when the engine switch is turned on after replacing the parking brake ECU assembly. Operate the electric parking brake switch (combination switch assembly) to turn off the parking brake indicator light.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE ECU ASSEMBLY


    1. B006R7I

      Engage the hook to temporarily install the parking brake ECU assembly.

    2. Install the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.0 N*m  { 82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf }

    3. Connect the 2 connectors.

  2. INSTALL DECK TRIM SERVICE HOLE COVER

    B006NJK Install in the Direction (2)

    1. Engage the 4 claws to install the deck trim service hole cover.

  3. INSTALL DECK SIDE TRIM COVER LH

      B006N8A Install in the Direction

      Engage the 2 guides and 10 claws to install the deck side trim cover LH.

  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
