BRAKE BOOSTER(for LHD) REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the brake booster assembly removal/installation are shown below.

Note

Make sure to release vacuum from the brake booster assembly before removing the brake master cylinder sub-assembly from the brake booster assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  3. SEPARATE NO. 1 HOSE TO HOSE TUBE

      Slide the clip and disconnect the check valve to connector tube hose from the brake booster assembly.

    2. B006RBU

      Remove the 2 nuts and separate the No. 1 hose to hose tube.

  4. SEPARATE ENGINE ROOM MAIN WIRE

      Disconnect the connector from the vacuum sensor.

    2. Disconnect the connector from the vacuum warning switch assembly.

    3. Remove the bolt.

    4. Disengage the clamp and separate the engine room main wire.

  5. REMOVE BRAKE LINE

      Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the 2 brake lines from the brake actuator assembly.

    2. Disengage the 2 clamps and remove the 2 brake lines.

      Note


      • Do not damage or deform the brake lines.

      • Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt or dust to enter the brake lines from the connecting parts.

  6. SEPARATE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY LH WITH MAIN BODY ECU

  7. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING

  8. REMOVE PUSH ROD PIN

  9. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 4 nuts and brake booster assembly from the vehicle body.

      Note

      Do not apply excessive force to the brake lines.

  10. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER GASKET
