FRONT STABILIZER BAR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR BUSHING LH


    1. B006LATC03
      *a Stopper
      *b Dust Lip
      *c Cutout
      B006QOD Front of the Vehicle
      B006LKF Inside of the Vehicle

      Install the front stabilizer bar bushing LH to the outside of the stopper on the front stabilizer bar as shown in the illustration.

      Note


      • Install the front stabilizer bar bushing LH so that the cutout is facing the rear of the vehicle.

      • Install the front stabilizer bar bushing LH so that the dust lip is facing the outside of the vehicle.

  2. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR BUSHING RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  3. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR


    1. Install the front stabilizer bar to the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly.

      Note

      Make sure that the identification mark is positioned on the right side of the vehicle.

  4. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER FRONT BRACE LH


    1. B006QQUC04
      *a Protrusion

      Install the front suspension member front brace LH to the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque:
      87 N*m  { 887 kgf*cm, 64 ft.*lbf }

      Note


      • Temporarily tighten bolt (A) and (B), and then fully tighten the 4 bolts in the order of (C), (D), (A) and (B).

      • After installing the front suspension member front brace LH, make sure that the protrusion of the front stabilizer bar bushing LH is visible.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER FRONT BRACE RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.

  6. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN FRONT LOWER NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Temporarily install the front lower No. 1 suspension arm sub-assembly RH to the front suspension crossmember sub-assembly with the 2 bolts and nut.

      Note

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

  7. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Install the front stabilizer link assembly LH to the front shock absorber assembly with the nut.

      Torque:
      74 N*m  { 755 kgf*cm, 55 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not damage the boot of the ball joint.

      Tech Tips

      If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon socket wrench to hold the stud bolt.

  8. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Perform the same procedure as for the LH side.
