Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
DRAIN CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
SEPARATE CENTER NO. 1 COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER
REMOVE BATTERY
REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER
REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER SUPPORT
DISCONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the oil cooler.
REMOVE OIL COOLER

Slide the clip and disconnect the inlet No. 1 oil cooler hose from the oil cooler.
Slide the clip and disconnect the outlet No. 1 oil cooler hose from the oil cooler.
Remove the 2 bolts and oil cooler from the transaxle case.
