The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the oil cooler removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

  4. DRAIN CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID

  5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  6. SEPARATE CENTER NO. 1 COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER

  7. REMOVE BATTERY

  8. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER

  9. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER SUPPORT

  10. DISCONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      *1 No. 2 Water By-pass Hose

      Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the oil cooler.

  11. REMOVE OIL COOLER


    1. B006L4NC01
      *1 Inlet No. 1 Oil Cooler Hose
      *2 Outlet No. 1 Oil Cooler Hose

      Slide the clip and disconnect the inlet No. 1 oil cooler hose from the oil cooler.

    2. Slide the clip and disconnect the outlet No. 1 oil cooler hose from the oil cooler.

      Remove the 2 bolts and oil cooler from the transaxle case.
