TCM REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the TCM removal/installation are shown below.

Replacement of TCM

Perform the following procedures in the order shown:


  1. Reset Memory

  2. Transfer Transaxle Compensation Code

  3. Perform Road Test to Allow TCM to Learn


  • Large shift shock

  • Deterioration of fuel efficiency

Perform the following procedures in the order shown:


  1. Reset Memory

  2. Reset Transaxle Compensation Code

  3. Perform Road Test to Allow TCM to Learn

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note


    • After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    • If automatic transaxle assembly parts are replaced, refer to Parts Replacement Compensation Table to determine if any additional operations are necessary.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

      *a Lock Lever

      Turn the lock lever and disconnect the TCM connector from the TCM.

    2. B006N0H

      Remove the 2 bolts and TCM from the transaxle case sub-assembly.
