PCV VALVE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT PCV VALVE (VENTILATION VALVE SUB-ASSEMBLY)


    1. Install a clean hose to the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly).

    2. Check the operation of the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly).

        *b Air
        B006QOD Ventilation Case Sub-assembly Side

        Blow air into the ventilation case sub-assembly side, and check that air passes through easily.

        CAUTION:

        Do not suck air through the valve.

        Petroleum substances inside the valve are hazardous to your health.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly).

      2. A01IG0NC02
        *a Hose
        *b Air
        B006QOD Intake Manifold Side

        Blow air into the intake manifold side, and check that air passes through with difficulty.

        CAUTION:

        Do not suck air through the valve.

        Petroleum substances inside the valve are hazardous to your health.

        If the result is not as specified, replace the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly).

    3. Remove the hose from the PCV valve (ventilation valve sub-assembly).
